This company seeks a Clinical Nurse Trainer/ Advisor for their superb care facility in Dublin.

The role of Clinical Nurse Trainer/ Advisor involves advancing and enhancing the role of the Nurses and healthcare assistants in the company. This is undertaken by assessing competence within the nursing discipline in general practice, educating, training and supporting staff and identifying learning needs and ways of addressing them.

The ideal candidate must:

• Be a fully qualified Registered General Nurse
• Have full and up to date ABA registration
• Have a minimum of 5 years post registration Clinical experience
• Have 3 years care of the elderly experience
• Have previous teaching/ education experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Give professional support as set out in An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct
• To support new nurses and care assistants in the nursing hom and home care nursing, and provide mentorship when requested to involve both professional, clinical and health and safety issues
• To facilitate training and identify training needs for the HCAs and staff nurses within the workplace
• Continue to deliver and build on clinical practice and to support the training of new staff nurses and HCAs as required

This is a full time permanent Clinical Nurse Trainer/ Advisor job and working knowledge of HIQA standards and procedures would be hugely advantageous
